Pick a character, hit me up, toss out a scenario, or use one of the threads below. Master muse list can be seen here but the characters below are the ones I'm feeling the most right now.
[sleep hasn't been a companion of nehan's for a long while. it doesn't come easily, and when it does, it never stays for long. he's long learned to stop chasing it and simply do something better with his time.
like work.
like fussing over his plants, trimming them and harvesting what he needs, and then firing up his makeshift lab in order to get some experiments done.]
(It's late at night, the moon is light, the stars are bright, and everything is so completely, utterly, and totally at peace. It would be the perfect night to dream but every moment he sleeps is another moment doing nothing as far as Tsurumaru is concerned.
So he takes to the night. A dark black-blue haori hangs over his shoulders tonight and he finds himself drawn to the flowers under the moon's starry rays. This is how he stumbles onto Nehan in his lab when he sees that he isn't the only one up tonight.
He doesn't announce his presence with a hello or a surprise. Instead, he casually calls out,)
Have you heard of flowers that only bloom under the moon's cold light?
My hometown was full of such things. [which, of course, means yes.]
I would like to grow some of my own, but the days are too long here, and the sun is always too bright.
[and he really can't go back to his childhood home, when it's gone, and wholly removed from the rest of civilization. nehan got out a long time ago for a reason.]
The sunlight is good enough for these. [for most plants, indeed.
nehan reaches out and rubs a petal between his forefinger and thumb. as a testament to how delicately he handles his plants, the velvety petal doesn't even have an imprint of his finger, or a bruise. he's more conscious of them than he is with other people.
then again, plants are good, and each one has many uses. people are bastards, and their one use is to give him money.]
It will also be good to dry them when plucked, for proper medicine.
[first, nehan points towards a rose. no one expects roses to be medicinal, but nehan tends to prove them wrong.]
Oils, pastes and salves made from roses are good for the skin, mostly in vanity products. But they soothe minor scratches, acne and injuries on the face better than some other salves because the product is gentle on delicate skin.
And some enjoy the smell of it more than other medicines.
pensive/restless. surprise me.........

(He sounds surprised. The idea of a town with a field of flowers that bloom only at night sounds magical to him...)
I'd like to see it.
(Until then, he'll come over to get a closer look at the flowers Nehan is working with,)
I suppose it's good enough for these, then?
(The sunlight, that is.)

I'm not familiar with these.
(He recognizes their appearance but it's more from flower arrangements than actual medicinal use.)
What sort does it make?
