(The servant raises a brow, clearly surprised to hear her speak to them. It almost takes them a moment to process what's being said-- to parse through the surprise and the accent-- and they manage a quick response. Something that one can only assume means "you're welcome" or something equally polite in turn.

Claude tips his head, acknowledging the exchange and signaling that the servant can leave for now. He then sets his cup down soundlessly on the tray and smiles at Flayn,

"Good." (A simple phrase in response followed by explanation,) That was good. (Perfectly understandable. ) You'll have more chances to practice, too.

(And she'll only get better.)

There are people here who will understand you. Tomorrow, you'll meet some of them.

(Friends of his mother, retainers that have supported her and looked out for him growing up.)

Some of the guards will know, too. They pick up things on their assignments... so it's always been one of the more popular languages for them. (If you understand the enemy, you stand a better chance against them, after all. But these days, tensions have been dying down. Almyra hasn't attacked Fodlan in years and there's been a shift away from battles and fighting to more scholarly and artistic pursuits. Something like the beginning of a renaissance of sorts. Even he'd been surprised when he returned and saw how much things had changed. It really is the perfect climate for his plans.) Actually, some of them might want to practice with you.
