(Instead of answering right away, he raises his arms over his head and gives a good stretch! The truth is, there's still some tension and he should be careful not to overstretch himself still but for the most part, he seems to be fine. )
Better. They told me to take it easy but... well, this time of year has always been easy.
(When they arrived, the kingdom was preparing for the end of the year celebrations. It was a lot of work but compared to the usual? Piece of cake. The end of the year is the time to eat, drink, and rest after a long year. And now that the weeks of celebration are almost over and they're into the new year proper? It's about time to get back to work.)
You missed most of it, you know. The celebrations. (He takes a bite of nougat,) Tomorrow is the last day.
(Another bite but this time, he looks thoughtful for a moment. Of course, he'll invite her to the last round of celebrations but he thinks about how his mother would also welcome her... it's been a while since they've had any guests from Fodlan. The last time was... when his grandfather sent his messengers? That was a few years ago.)
I'm not much of a healer; actually, I don't know much about magic at all. (He's a talented individual but he's never had a real talent for any of it.) But I can tell you the source of life and magic here isn't from any goddess like back in Fodlan. Everything comes from the earth. It's the earth that gives us life. Heh, it might be interesting to combine both theories... who knows what you could accomplish?
(He'll definitely be asking Flayn about this more if it ends up being something she pursues.)
Don't worry. Just think of your early days here as... being back in school for a bit. It's a lot of studying and the teachers aren't always fun but if you set your mind to it, you'll get the hang of things.
