HOGWARTS

MIXED BLOOD ✖ GRYFFINDOR ✖ QUIDDITCH TEAM ✖ BEATER
His mother is the magical one in the family. She comes from a wonderfully normal wizarding family and is a writer for the Daily Prophet. One day, while investigating the illegal phoenix trade, the building she was in caught on fire. She could have just apparated away but she had to stay and dig around for information while the thugs were fleeing! Muggles noticed the fire, called the fire station, and one young, eager firefighter ran in to save the woman someone saw at the window. She was totally fine and actually ended up saving him.

Alfred and his brother had a wonderfully normal life. Their life was so amazingly normal you could have made 1950s suburban tv shows about them except for the fact there were little things that didn't quite add up. Matthew was the first person to notice that the carpets upstairs were always clean even though their mother never carried the vacuum upstairs (or vacuumed at all, to be honest). Even weirder, they could have sworn their dog, Samantha, threw up on the carpet a second ago and now there was nothing there like what the hell.

Lo and behold one day, the two brothers got their letters and it was the coolest day of Alfred's life and also the day he found out their mom hated vacuuming and had placed a carpet cleaning charm on the entire house. Also, she never actually made those apple pies from scratch. It was magic all along. When they asked their parents why they didn't expose them to magic sooner, both parents said they agreed to give them "ordinary" lives because it built good ethic.

Alfred was sorted into Gryffindor so fast people weren't sure if the hat even touched his head. It was pretty awesome and he was so Gryffindor it hurt. Unfortunately, he was stumbling around the magic world with no real idea of what he was doing because he'd practically been raised a muggle. For the first year, he was dependent on the knowledge of one of his friends.

One day in his first year, he got into a fight. He didn't know any spells so he threw a few punches instead. He ended up with an itchy eye curse that made him look like he was crying for three days, losing points, and getting detention BUT it was a really good swing and he ended up getting recruited for the quidditch team. He had no idea what he was doing but he could hit a bludger hard and fast and that was what mattered the most. He actually ended up being a pretty okay player once you got past the dumb mistakes he made for the first year or two simply because he was still learning and then the dumb mistakes he made every year after because he thought he was so great.

Alfred has a lot of potential in his studies but lacks motivation. Upon learning how hard it is to actually be an auror (which is a really cool good guy), he buckles down and studies hard to become one. He fails but still manages to become a Hit Wizard. Though not the most skilled wizard, what he lacks in skill, he makes up in brute strength.

THE WIZARD WAR
He fights against the Dark Wizards. Despite his jock behavior at Hogwarts, he takes the war very seriously. His reckless fighting style got him hurt numerous times and he made frequent use of his bed at St. Mungo's.

OTHER
His familiar is a great grey owl named George.
His patronus is an eagle.
His boggart is a ghost. When he casts riddikulus it simply gets blown away.
His wand is rowan, phoenix tail feather, 11.5 inches, unyielding

Rowan wood has always been much-favoured for wands, because it is reputed to be more protective than any other, and in my experience renders all manner of defensive charms especially strong and difficult to break. It is commonly stated that no Dark witch or wizard ever owned a rowan wand, and I cannot recall a single instance where one of my own rowan wands has gone on to do evil in the world. Rowan is most happily placed with the clear-headed and the pure-hearted, but this reputation for virtue ought not to fool anyone - these wands are the equal of any, often the better, and frequently out-perform others in duels

Unicorn hair generally produces the most consistent magic, and is least subject to fluctuations and blockages. Wands with unicorn cores are generally the most difficult to turn to the Dark Arts. They are the most faithful of all wands, and usually remain strongly attached to their first owner.
